I hope this isn't against the forum rules, but I'm NOT posting details of a job, I just need some advice. If it is against the rules, please accept my humble apologies.
I've tried posting on various forums asking for a quote, and had some people email me follow up questions, but no one has actually sent me a quote. I've also tried emailing the deveopers who produced the open source software I'm using, but again had only follow up questions & no quote. I think the problem is that what I need doing is not the sort of thing that could be quickly thrown together, but not a full site development. So how do I find someone who is capable of doing the job? Have I shot myself in the foot by teaching myself how to do some of the easier stuff instead of just hiring someone to do it all for me?
