php and web page ..plz help

i have web page with 2 frams ..one for links when i click on it ..it will show me the other frame with some data (from db) about user i choose it befor i click on link..
how i do that with php???

If I understand correctly what you need to do is actually just html not php. You need to look at the target element of the <A> tag in your index frame.

my data will be retrieved from db by using php .. so i think i will need php to do link between two forms ...

You want to extract data from a DB using PHP? No problem. If you search this forum, you will find 1000s of threads on this very topic. Like this one for example: http://www.phpbuilder.com/board/showthread.php?s=&threadid=10251388

I assume your database is MySQL. If not, PHP also supports Postgres, Oracle ... and a few others.

Sorry to be so vague, but it's not clear from your question what you really want.

i know how connect between database and php ...this is not my problem ...

Aha - I see - you want to pass variables to the PHP file that accesses the DB. Correct? OK:

Do your link like this:

<a href="./myfile.php?usierid=123456">

In the file myfile.php, you need to pick up the user ID thus:

<?php
$new_userid=$_GET['$userid'];
?>
