Workaround for this error?

I get this error

Fatal error: Failed opening required '../config/config.php' (include_path='.:/usr/local/lib/php') in /www/htdocs/auth_0.9.0/functions/db_functions.php on line 7

I know why i get it becuase i am including it in a different direcory so it comes up all weird. i thought require_once would solve it but it doesnt. is this because i have required_once this file in another file so it becomes part of that file and is not recognised the second time i include it or what??

It's probably because the parser is not as smart as you, and has problems with directory transversal. It can understand ../, but not ../somedir/somefile --- try using the absolute path instead.
