Display results in a drop down list?

okay I wanted to be able to display the results ina drop down menu...for example if i have a loop result that will display states it will show them in a drop down menu? Possible?

Of course it's possible. It's just HTML. PHP can write HTML without any trouble.

umm i dont think u guys understand i want to populate a drop down list ...which includes all the items in a tablename under the column...say.....genre

this question is also asked about 5 times a day. of those 5, 5 posted the question without using the Search feature of the site (like tekky stated).

give that a shot first, then come back if you still have a specific question regarding the data populating the drop-list.
