PHP Versions

I've got a question about testing. I've made a CMS and I want to know which versions of PHP it will work on. Is the only way to do this to test it on each version? The only thing I can think of is to have a bunch of people test it with each version...but most people will always go after the latest/later version so no one would have the older ones...so....

Wouldn't it be easier to go thru the manual for some of the more uncommon functions you have used? The manual lists version numbers.

That would be a long and lengthy task. Why not just download PHP 4.1 to 4.3.2 Install them on the server(s) and test them that way.
