I need to reconfigure PHP but it was installed with an rpm

Is there any way to reconfigure PHP when it was installed with an RPM? I have PHP running as a module and I thought I read somewhere that if it is installed as a module, it is not a big problem to reconfigure. But how? Since I did not make from source, there is no configure.

I am trying to add --with xslt
