Sooooo, I booked a room at the Marriot here in San Jose. I finally get here via courtesy shuttle and go up to the front desk. The concierge swipes my card and then creates my key. When finished with the key he asks me "Uh oh, I'm sorry sir, do you have another card?".... I'm like, "what, that card didn't approve" .... he said "no sir". So here I am all embarrassed in line, looking all broke wondering if I did in fact screw up the balance. So, I give him my personal card, rather than the biz card, and it works. I come up to my room, sign on, check my balance and all is fine. So I go back down to the front desk and his boss happens to be there. I explain that I need this charged to the biz card to appease the IRS. She runs the card and its fine. Later he admits that the card didn't swipe not that it didn't approve. 🙁 He could have simply run it again.
Oh well, I guess I've embarrassed myself worse than that. 🙁
