Date problems with mysql selects

I've created this query to select the next birthdays
the acoresanos is a date field.

SELECT acoresnick,acoresanos,YEAR(NOW())-YEAR(acoresanos) AS idade FROM acores_users WHERE DAYOFYEAR(acoresanos) >= DAYOFYEAR(now()) ORDER BY DAYOFYEAR(acoresanos) LIMIT 10

But i don't to use limit.. because i may have 20 people making birthdays in the same day.

What i want is to select all the next birthdays for the next 5 days from now!

I've tryed using ...AND DAYOFYEAR(now()) < DAYOFYEAR(now()+5) and other stuff but none of them worked...

Can anybody help ?

$todayPlus5 = date('z', strtotime('+5 days'));
$sql = "SELECT acoresnick,acoresanos FROM acores_users WHERE DAYOFYEAR(acoresanos) BETWEEN $today AND $todayPlus5 ORDER BY DAYOFYEAR(acoresanos) "

I've tryed using ...AND DAYOFYEAR(now()) < DAYOFYEAR(now()+5)

If you move the last ) to before the +5 to give

DAYOFYEAR(now())+5

the query would be

SELECT acoresnick,acoresanos FROM acores_users 
WHERE DAYOFYEAR(acoresanos) BETWEEN DAYOFYEAR(now()) AND DAYOFYEAR(now())+5 
ORDER BY DAYOFYEAR(acoresanos)

I've tryed that before but i was using DAYOFYEAR(now()+5) and not DAYOFYEAR(now())+5 and it didn't worked but i got no error too erghhhh
