With the recent attacks regarding the sobig, msblast etc, I was pondering on how to manage all pc's within a network. However, I work for a medical institution and research is heavily propagated with physicians brining their home pc's and hooking them to the internal network. (guess how we got infected with msblast 😉) Anyway, we employ a sms engine that manages the majority of our workstations, and i was wondering if a php script could be written in order to verify new addresses on our network space and if these new addresses can be automatically scanned with virus tools. Is this possible? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, colforbin
