Works locally but not on web

I am having a problem with accessing one of my php pages on the net. When I try to access it i get a page cannot be displayed or a blank page. If I add an exit to it, it displays the info up to the exit. see below

Now the strange part is when I access it locally with http://localhost it works fine. I am using apache 2 and php 4 my other php page works fine. the only difference is that in the one that doesnt work i am populating a form with mySQL and the one that works I am populating a table

look for errors after your exit... the only reasons for blank pages is

1) error halting execution
2) no data sent

Then that is the first place I would look. If "the only difference" is causing you to get a difference in the way it's displayed, chances are there is an error there somewhere.

Support: Let's make sure you have everything properly connected to power. Do you have everything plugged in?

Customer: Yeah, I have everything plugged into the surge protector, and I even turned that to the On position.

Support: And you have the surge protector plugged into the wall outlet.

Customer: No, I wanted to protect that too, so I plugged it into itself to protect it.

Dude, I think I wasn't very clear or you missed the point.
Here is the point, it works fine when I test offline with the apache server for example http://localhost/whatever.php
WOW IT WORKS, when I try to to access it via the web it doesnt work. BUT the other php page I have seems to work.

So let me recap IT ALL works locally, but when I try to access via the web a couple pages dont work. The only difference( I think this is where you got hung up BuzzLY ) Is the way I am displaying the information. What I need help with is an ideas why it works locally but not online.

are you handling variables "assuming" super globals are turn on.... ie NOT using $_POST['varname'] but $varname instead... etc etc.

some code is relevant to answering this question.....

I am using post
$loginName = $POST['userName'];
$loginWord = $POST['userWord'];
And then with the login name and password I am doing sql
queries to bring up their inform to put in a predesigned form so they can change the information then submit it.
Here is the php code i am using to poulate the check boxes

The loop is screwing it up when viewed from the web

This happened to me once because I did not mirror my web site with my local set up. IOW, I was missing a file that the app needed on-line (but I forgot I to upload it, whatever).

Thus, everything worked fine locally, but not remotely. So the browser froze, and I couldn't see why, until I checked the source file on-line. Then I saw the PHP error message that was coming back (and not being displayed by the browser) about this missing file!

Just a little tid bit there.

are you sure you want to close that loop there? I would think it would cause it to not print the UNCHECKED boxes.....

Hmmm... I may be wrong, but I think you need to echo arrays like this:

echo "<input type='checkbox' name='services[]' value='" . $total_service_values[$c] . "' checked>" . $service[$c] . "<BR>";

echo "<input type='checkbox' name='services[]' value='{$total_service_values[$c]}' checked>{$service[$c]}<BR>";
