Automated Tasks?

Hello There -

I would like to have PHP/MySQL scan the database everyday and look for a users date field that matches the current date and then e-mail that user. What is the equivalent of a Windows AT command or Unix crontab to do this ... or any other suggestions?

You need to have CRON call your e-mailing script at the desired time. Check out the CLI section of the PHP manual for more information.
