Make a link out of this..

Hello,

This may sound silly, but i can't seem to make a link out of this one:

echo $item."<br>";

The $item should be displayed as a link, like, $item="00001.jpg", so just that should be a link on screen.

I think i'm losin' it...🙁

Got a different question:

If i put up files for download based upon someone's session_id(), i get a screen with links to the files. The url gives the path to the session directory where the files are stored (in a directory in that session directory which name is the session_id), but if i delete the session number (in the url, which belongs to that particular customer) , i get the directory where all the session folders are stored, which means i could download other customer's files.
This i do not want ofcourse...

I hope i'm making some sense here! 🙂

Any idea how to get around this?

use an if check.... like

if (!$session_id) //the session_id exists, display the files for that session
{
     //file display code here
}
