PHP acting weird..

Just set up a new server at home and when I visit the url http://192.168.0.201/test/test.php?hi=test, which test.php just has it to print $hi, nothing happens.. it's like the server never gets the variable. The same also happens when I send variables via a form: the server doesn't get them.

Any ideas?

1) your link is a local IP (192.168.* are not real addresses) so nobody can see your link

2) search and type in "register global"

3) goto http://www.php.net and search online documention for "predefined variables" <- this will answer a slew of more questions you will have most likelya bout this same problem
