[APACHE] <directory> options to ban access

Hi,
I'm trying to give access to a download directory in my site, but only to people who come from the very same domain.

I tried this as suggested in the documentation:

<VirtualHost 999.99.999.99>
...
ServerName my_site.com
....
<Directory "/var/www/mi_site/html/my_dir">
Order allow,deny
Allow from my_site.com
Allow from 999.99.999.99
</Directory>
</VirtualHost>

But I always get a Forbidden page...
I have read many related topics and documentation, but I can't find why it doesn't work...
Maybe it has something to do with previous directives ?? ... 😕

Solved!
I used env variables:

<VirtualHost 207.44.208.17>

... blah blah ...
... blah blah ...

ErrorDocument 403 [url]http://www.mi_site.com[/url] 

SetEnvIf Referer "^[url]http://www.mi_site.com/[/url]" local_referal 
# Allow browsers that do not send Referer info 
SetEnvIf Referer "^$" local_referal 
<Directory "/var/www/html/dir_a_limitar_acceso"> 
   Order Deny,Allow 
   Deny from all 
   Allow from env=local_referal 
</Directory> 

</VirtualHost>

Still don't know why the first method didn't work... 😕
