PHP MySql and Images help

[flashxdesign]

I am trying to build a online invetory for a friends used car lot. I followed a tutorial on adding the car info and images to the database.

I followed everything and I get this error when I submit the information from my form.

WARNING exec(): unable to fork[cp c:\php\uploadtemp\phpb.tmp c:\inetpub\wwwroot\cab\images$picture_name] in C:\inetpub\wwwroot\cab\TMPh67ajk6g13.php on line 36.

My line 36 reads this:
exec (cp"$picture c:\inetpub\wwwroot\cab\images\$picture_name");

What is wrong with the line? I am very new to php and mysql.

Any help would be appreciated..

you should look into [man]copy[/man] and/or [man]move_uploaded_file[/man] for this

you don't need to exec() commands on the server when php has built in functions for this

now I get this error using that code. I really do not understand this completely.

Warning: copy(/localhost/CAB/imagesnano1.jpg): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in c:\inetpub\wwwroot\CAB\TMP2vmtwk7ko2.php on line 36

you need to make sure that those directories are created already
