Still get problem trying to send email

I've installed Mailtraq, but I still have a problem sending mail. I keep getting this message:

Warning: mail(): "sendmail_from" not set in php.ini or custom "From:" header missing.

This is what I have in the php.ini:

SMTP = 192.168.19.54
smtp_port = 25

sendmail_from = [e-mail]

I'm just trying to send a basic email just to test it. Can someone tell me if Mailtraq needs to be configured? Please help me out! Thanks.

Try adding this into your page above the mail().

$headers = "From: Someone<[e-mail]>";

Then make sure in the mail() tags that there is $headers at the end of it, like this:

mail("", "", "", $headers);

Nope, still got the exact same error! Am I doing something wrong here??

Can someone let me know if I need to properly configure Mailtraq? Or if something else I need to do to get the mail() function working?

$sSubject="Your subject";
$sBody="Line 1 \n Line2 \n ....";
$myEmail="[e-mail]";
$sOk=mail("$sEmail", "$sSubject", sBody, "From:$myEmail\r\n");
if ($sOk) echo "Sent";
else        echo "Fail";

You know, I don't know what the hells wrong with my computer! Because it does not like the mail() function!! Keeps saying the exact same error message.

Thanks nelustr for your advise, unfortunately, it doesnt work. Same error message - " Warning: mail(): sendmail_from not set in php.ini ...." It also says "Fail" since thats was part of the code.

I know, is annoying to got this kind of trouble. Everything is Ok but the error persist!
What platform are you using?
If it is windows try to reinstall your web server using Foxserv (Apache, PHP and MySQL). It is running pretty good and is easy to install (sourceforge.com)
If it is RedHat go to updates.redhat.com and download all the files for php4.2.2-8.0.8 from there. Attention 4.2.2-8.0.5 is bugy! I posted yesterday a message about it.

Yeah. I wish I could reinstall everything, but I haven't the time. My team and I are creating a ecommerce site for our client for our senior project (this rides on our entire college education - can't get my BS in CIS if we don't get a 70% or higher), and we need it to go live in a couple weeks. One minor set back like this will not bring our grade down tremendously. We also still need to have people run tests on our site for functionality and to find any bugs. Also can't change to Linux, because I'm currently using MS Server 2000 with IIS. And I know its not a straight swap from Windows to Linux. Well I guess we can write this up as one of our gap analysis.
