Preg_replace non alpha with ""

Hi I'm trying to write a regex to replace all non alpha characters with nothing. Now I can replace all alpha characters easy enough with preg_replace("/[A-Za-z]/","",$string); but I don't know how to do a NOT in preg

Yeah, what weed said; Not to mention, you can make your regexp smaller like so: "/[^a-z]/i"

the "i" signifying case-insensitive.
