how to change the username & password, as i know, "root" & "" are the default username & password.

you can do it with this query for db "mysql"

UPDATE user SET Password='new pass' WHERE User='root'

But i think is better to do it from a front-end, like phpMyAdmin...

You mean how to change the MySQL username and password?

Go read the MySQL Docs at www.mysql.com

If you're a newb and you have access to phpMyAdmin, that makes it really easy as well.

And so ya know, 'root' is not only the 'default' username and password, but its also the superuser, with privilidges to do anything to the databases.
