Hi,
today the old europe, is very too old....
But is not too bad, i'm always dream to go in Canada! 😃
The European Commission has proposed to override the current clear and uniform European patentability rules and replace them by a set of nationally implementable rules which make it very difficult for national courts to reject patents on algorithms and business methods such as Amazon One Click Shopping.
...
European patent attorneys are however obliged to bear a slightly greater rhetorical burden than their US colleagues: they must present their algorithm as a "computer implemented invention" which "makes a technical contribution in its inventive step".

However all this sound like NIRVANA movie:
C.Lambert go around with its own coder's patent...
(And the coders are a bit more free and powerfull than other people 😃)
/But,
if anyone has its own copy of windows, office, photoshop, even if only a bit are bought them, the game fo playstation, xbox, gamecube are anywhere, who care of this patent ? What this will change?
