MySQL table size

Hi,

Due to my general mistrust of things I didn't make, I'm writing a very simple version of phpmyadmin, it would be helpful to know the size (in bytes) of my tables. I've tried to dissect the phpmyadmin code, but can't work it out.

Any ideas?
