Storage Question

I am going to be making a system that stores up to 10,000 individual pieces of information pre session, this session will only last around 20-40 mins. Now I know I can use a database for this, but that is pretty heavey seeing that 20 of these will be going at once filling the DB with 200,000 rows. I was thinking there might be a better way such as using a XML file to store it, or text file.

My question is, which would be the fastest and/or best way to do this.

no, 20 rows, 10,000 columns per row. this seems RATHER overkill, and i doubt it can be usefull in a DB. look into using arrays and [man]serialize[/man] to store the data if you really want to use a database
