time zone adjustments

ok, my server is in california, so the timezone is PDT

lots of stuff goes into mysql and comes out as timestamps

is there a nice way in php to adjust a timestamp back to, say, GMT?

Use [man]strtotime/man

$gmt = date('d m Y H:i:s', strtotime('+8 hours') );
