Can php create html docs

I dont know if it possible, but can php create an html document. For instance say I ran ecommerce site and all my pages were created and output in php, I might want a hard copy of it, i.e for the search engines. Is their anything in php that allows you to do this?

I know this is crazy, but I just wondered if their is anything around like it.

To clarify... to search engines there is no difference between PHP pages and HTML pages.

The only thing which might discourage search engines is pages with big long querystrings?var=value

There are numerous ways to get rid of querystrings, ApacheType's ForceType, mod_rewrite, and 404 errors are three methods...
