URGENT ... popup on load question!!

Hi,

I know how to make a window popup upon the loading of an HTML webpage... but I have -NO CLUE- how to do it with PHP. I'm basically a total PHP-Newb... I don't know where to put the code, or what to put ... if I can use javascript, how do I include javascript in my PHP document?

I appreciate any advice / help!

Sorry for the "URGENT" header, but it's quite urgent and I need to have this done within a few hours.

I've searched around for how to do this, and I'll keep searching... but I thought I'd post up here 🙂

I want a window (HTML... ) to popup when I load the page. Simple as that.

yes, you have to use javascript.

You can insert it in php:
<?
...
...
?>
<script>
window.open("popup.html","mywin");
</script>
<?
...
...
?>

Your .php document should look something like this:

<html>
<body>
This is some basic html.<br>

<?php
echo "we kick in some cool php";
?>

<br>back to html and use some javascript<br>
<script> 
window.open("popup.html","mywin"); 
</script> 

<?php
echo "possible some more php";
?>

</body>
</html>
