SQL problem

WHERE somenumber LIKE '%".trim($search)."%' ";

I have a search variable which is for example 2003
it finds the records that are
2003335563 for example

but when i put in exactly 2003335563 as a search variable
it doesnt find that specific record.
I put the trim around it and thought that was the problem.
Apparently its not. please advice

You are exceeding the max value for the field.
Check it.

I had 255 varchar on the field
and changed it to INT 20
so its sufficient.

Doesnt seem to be the problem
