Loading cached pages

Help someone!
This is the scenario (and pardon me for my ignorance about php and Apache - I come from the Microsoft world). Here's the problem.....

On a specific machine I can access the "new" version of the website, but on every other machine in the world, the "old" website comes up (please don't ask me why I inherited this piece of madness and why I am doing this..internal politics). How can you do this in php? I know that the website was developed by someone who left us three weeks ago without a trace and I know that he was using php. Can someone please help me? Thanks!

I think that the problem is that the browser that is loading the cached page isnt checking for a newer version of the page. the problem probably lies in the browser, not in the scripting.

I have made sure that the browser always checks for the page whenever I visit the web page. Is there anything else that you can think of?

Delete the browsers cache and empty history. Try another browser.

It is nearly impossible for this to be a server-side issue if one computer is displaying it properly, and another is not.

Oh, and make sure you're accessing the same machine and domainname and all on both machines too :-)

I emptied the browser cache and history. I understand that this cannot be a server-side issue, but on clicking a hyperlink, it executes a .php script and takes me to the 'website' where the url in the address bar of the browser is something like "http://www.companyname.com/default.php". This .php script could not be residing on the client (as I understand, script files like .asp/.aspx are property of the server and are executed by it and the result is streamed down to the client). The browser is set to automatically detect any new pages. I am going to try another browser tomorrow. In the meantime any more hints/pointers will be really appreciated. Oh! and I did I say that the website still cannot be accessed from any other machine? Any additional pointers/hints will be really appreciated. Thanks!

Are you sure you're accessing the same server on all computers you use...?

I have figured this out! The machine that was able to resolve the domain name actually used the domain server on the company's network. This domain controller has a www folder. Any machine that uses the domain as a default gateway and accessed this specific web page is forwarded to an IP address on the internet. Now all I need is to find out the company that owns this IP and access the code. Thanks all for your help!
