phpMyWebmin PRO - browserbased webfile management (screen inside)

hi all!

what began as a small script that could only upload files to a server, ended in phpMyWebmin 1.0 some weeks ago.
Many server admins have downloaded my app since its releases, and so i thought about completely re-design the whole stuff, adding some useful features and calling it phpMyWebmin PRO. i think it will be a big step forward in comparation to phpMyWebmin 1.0, and so i'm quite engagedly coding since some days. 🙂

now i think a first screenshot can be released, and i wanted to know what you think about it:

it's all based on frames, so it will be quite similar to an online-windows-explorer, but with some more features, e.g.:

user management
possibility to hide folders
possibility to comment files and folders
file download statistics
file-search
online scheduler and memo
extension-filter creation

...and some more. 🙂
so what do you think about it? any good or bad critics or suggestions?

Looks purty cool!!! Although, Im not sure about the frames.

in fact, the frames ARE the very big advantage to the older versions. because there you had scroll up and down to reach all the menus, if there were many files in a viewed folder. now you only have to scroll to reach all files (like in the windows explorer), and all the menus and actions are on the screen all the time.
i know, frames are pretty "uncool" and not used very often anymore, and so i do in my normal webpages (there's all based on tables). but for this new project it is really useful to implement frames. 🙂

Is it complied or just source code??? I cant say that I have any use for it right now, but once I get my resellers account set up, I may be interested.(Im not sure how long that will be, but I will definitly keep it in mind) Do you have a website that I can book mark???

what do you mean with compiled or source code?
if you wanna see, how it shall work when it's finished, then take a look @ www.josh.ch/phpmywebmin , there is the old version without frames.

When I said complied or source code, I meant will it a be a .exe or will it be php code???

ah it's php-code! is it possible to compile php to an exe? never heard of something like that. :p

but i take this as a compliment, it seems you don't see if it's "just a website" or a real proggie!😃 🙂

I went ahead and downloaded it and bookmarked the urls you gave me. I'll let you know when I open my reseller account.

Over all, its a great system. I would have to use it for a period of time before I could crtique it, but if looks better than the one I m currently using. 😉

I didnt either, but then I started to read about web based programs writen in php that where complied. Im not real clear on the details. I just thought I try to sound smart!!! 😃
