[Resolved] No Directory Access at http://localhost/

Gosh- I think I got things working but when I start Apache2 and then type http://localhost/ into the address on my Internet Explorer 6.0 it comes back with an error message saying I don't have access. I am running XP Pro.

The error message is:

Forbidden
You don't have permission to access / on this server.

Apache/2.0.45 (Win32) Server at localhost Port 80

If I type in the full path to a valid php file it loads the file.

How can I set it up so if I just go to local host I get a directory of files so I can see which one I want to load?

You need to edit your .conf file,

look for index.html
and under it add a new line, index.php
save and restart apache and then http://localhost/ should work
