Well, then, let me give you another one 🙂

Hint #3: the number 01287400 is symbolic

    It's color-blindness test. This is one... i have to post the other?

      You can post all the color-blindness tests you want... because that's not the answer 🙂

      Ok, now the hints get easier... 😃

      Hint #4: The number can also be represented as "012000008740".
      "01287400" is considered the "E" version, while "012000008740" is considered the "A" version.

        Argh! Do you tell me i'm studing american's 900 history for nothing?!? 🙂
        and now it's easy...🆒 🙂 🙁 😕 :eek: Boh!

        LOL

          yes... it's easy. If you pay attention to all of the clues I have given, and learn how to use Google, I think you can figure it out. I am just about at the point of doing all but telling you the answer now LOL 😃

            Oh, of course it's easy to you. You already know the answer :p

              LOL... no, but that's cool that google only returned that one page, huh? That page has nothing to do with my object.

                Ok... I'm going to practically walk you right up to the object. First I'll walk you through the clues, and explain how I give clues (they are supposed to be clues, not complete give-aways!)

                Hint #1: I once had a CUP. One day I dropped it, and it broke into pieces. When I glued it back together, it just wasn't the same.

                • Ok... I capitalized CUP, emphasizing the letters of the word, not an actual cup. Merve caught on to that, but missed the rest of the clue somehow and went the WRONG direction LOL. The key is "broke into pieces." I put it back together, but it wasn't the same. Hmmmm... perhaps CPU? A computer? Good thought, not bad, but no.

                Hint #2: McKinley got wet one morning trying to read this color; it was encrypted.

                • This one practically gives it away, if you knew that this clue is a "synonym" clue. The sentence itself means nothing. But there are four parts that give a clue to the pieces of the puzzle: "McKinley" (you assumed it was a person), "wet
                  in the morning," "color" (which is the answer I'm looking for), and "encrypted."

                Hint #3: the number 01287400 is symbolic

                • This one is practically literal. The number 01287400 is not just "symbolic," it's a symbol. Put that together with clue number 1 and you SHOULD get where I'm going with this now...

                Hint #4: The number can also be represented as "012000008740". "01287400" is considered the "E" version, while "012000008740" is considered the "A" version.

                • This one is simply a clarification of Hint 3. It should pretty much tell you what the number represents.

                This is what I meant when I said "consider all the clues." Sometimes the clues when used in conjunction will help you figure out what it is. I don't believe in giving clues that tell you the answer right away.

                Now that I have clarified the hints, and put you on the path that should take you directly to the object, I want to know EXACTLY what object is represented by this number and color. Be as specific as you possibly can.

                  Hint 1:
                  Werre you just really bad at putting it back together and it became a mug ?

                  Hint 2:
                  McKinley.com -> webcrawler.com ??
                  Their logo is a spider - who you can get wet in the morning when you try and flush it down the shower (again !) Its colour is red..

                  Hint 3:
                  A symbolic number - hmm, would that be the true name for an image - very symbolic that....

                  Hint 4:
                  Are there more than 3 letters - each having its own "symbolic" number as a reference to its actual letter....

                  As to how each of these come together - I have not got a clue... But I hope that it doesn't include urine....

                    Ok... I just reread my post and it sounded VERY condescending. I apologize. It was 2:23am, for Chrissakes...

                    I realize it seems easy to me because I know the answer... I just don't like to give it away. I believe it's more rewarding to figure it out if the clues are harder. Perhaps they are too hard LOL

                    If you give up, just PM me and I'll point you in the right direction. I can't just tell you, but I'll give you a truly easy hint if you want.

                      The answer:
                      The CUP represents UPC, so I searched the UPC code. It is Mountain Dew Code Red. The colour is red.

                        Well where is it? It's supposed to be an something you can find with a browser...

                          Very good, Merve! Congratulations!

                          LordShryku, once you realize (through my clues) that the number I gave you was a UPC code (E version, by the way. The 12 digit symbol is the A version), you can do a google search for UPC lookup. That will eventually lead to many different UPC pages, one of which is the UPC Database. Once there, you can do a lookup for the UPC code I gave you, and find out that it's Mountain Dew Code Red, specifically the 24 oz plastic bottles.

                          McKinley = Mountain
                          "wet in the morning" = Dew
                          enrypted = Code
                          color = Red

                          Good Job, Merve. Your turn!

                              Yeah... I was wondering if anyone was going to pick up on that. I really do drink a lot of Code Red, though.

                                Thats was a little too sneaky for me....

                                  Urm - is it a little too late to ask what Mountain Dew is ?
