You have to change the command line for mysql when it starts up..
-O max_allowed_packet=YourSize
ok... the problem is.... how can i do this with a mysql database online? that sounds easy enough to on my home computer....but how can i change the pocket size with a web hosting company? is there a way i can do it through php codeing?
It is a mysql config, you cannot change it through PHP. Well, as far as I know... i've never seen it done before. You should just have your host set it up.
