In the grand tradition of the word association game, and the 4-word story, comes the Build-a-Limerick game. You know how a limerick goes, right? The first, second and last lines must rhyme and be 8 syllables, and the 3rd and 4th lines must rhyme with 6 syllables. Most should know how the metre goes, but I'll give you a sample:
There one was a man from Peru, (8)
Who dreamt he was eating his shoe, (8)
he awoke in the night, (6)
with a terrible fright, (6)
and found it was perfectly true! (8)
You don't have to hit exactly the right number of syllables, as long as the metre works.
