Can it be done?
As GIF's can be animated, can PNG's be? And if so can GD do it.
I'm sure by now if Unysis didn't chuck a hissy fit about GD creating GIF's, GD 2 would have the capability to animate them.
Nope; there is no such thing as an "animated PNG", unless you mean MNG, but GD doesn't support those yet.
