seting up a site

hi to you all here at php builder this is my first post

Ok my problem is I am about to design my first web site.

I am a web Newbe!

I have just purchased flash mx and Dreamweaver mx
I have a web host and domain name hooked up.

I am a underground jd/producer and would like to share some of the things that I do via the web (music, and how to do that?)
the site will also have a forum on it (phpbb)

I would like to build the site in small bit's
Phase 1.

1. holding page (Description about the site (enter button)
2. pre loader
3. intro
4. main page and Navigation (link to forum)

I know how to do this in flash

BUT not how to link it all together so that it is runnig with the php side of things so that the forum works
please can someone help me out ?
I am not look for someone to do it for me
just point me in the right direction so I can do it my self

PHP is a programming language. It's primary purpose is to take dynamic information and out put plain old HTML based off of it. Your phpbb forums are written in PHP, but there is no requirement to use PHP elsewhere unless you want to include dynamic information.

For everything you mentioned, there is no need for PHP. Just use HTML. If you are building your first website, I HIGHLY recommend avoiding PHP. PHP will do nothing for you until you understand HTML/CSS.
