Multiple select

Hey, i have a form with 2 selects

The first 1 is computer and the other is software.

I want to insert info into a mysql table named computerinventory with Computer Name & Software Name as the 2 field names.

Does anyone know how I can put multiple software( Dreamweaver, w2000,etc) into the 1 field under SoftwareName.

The thing is, i also have a software form where I can insert a new piece of software into the db and at the same time the software select gets automatically updated. The problem with that is that I can't really use a static array as I would have to constantly update that array. does anyone have any suggestions.

Hi,
you are creating many to many relationships.

Now you have two table:
First table, computer: ID, IP, USER, RAM, VIDEO...
Second, software: ID, NAME, HOUSE, VERSION...

Make a third table with link beetwen computer and software
Third table: ID, PC_ID, SW_ID.

Now you can assign to a PC many software and assign a software to many pc without any data replication.

maybe you would consider making a dynamic select/list box
