MSSQL support on unix....

I am trying to connect to a mssql server via my unix machine running php and apache. I suppose I need to recompile eh? I can't get the connection to work with mssql_connect or with pear. Then it hit me...i probably need to recompile. I do don't I?

Any suggestions before I hit up google?

I just want the support to do some exporting and stuff so I really don't want to go through the boggle of re-compiling the lot.

Anyone?

if you want to use mssql_connect funtions and the like, you need to compile PHP with mssql support, so yes recompile, time for google
