Setting Up Includes Correctly on Install.

I am trying to setup my home machine for development of PHP. My webserver, like many I've seen, has includes set as:

/home/username/public_html/whatever.php

I am trying to figure out a way to emulate this. My current home directory (localhost) is

c:\inetpub\wwwroot[/B]

and I can't seem to figure out what /home/ goes to. I tried setting

include_path = "c:\inetpub\wwwroot\"

but that doesn't seem to do much. Does anyone know where I'm going wrong?

When you run phpinfo.php, what does it show as the include path in the PHP CORE section?

It says c:\inetpub\wwwroot\

OK, so when you do:

include "whatever.php";

It tells you it can't find the file in the include path, even though c:\inetpub\wwwroot\whatever.php exists?

Sorta. If I just include "whatever.php" it works fine, but I'd like to set it up so I can use the same include I use on my server, which is /home/username/public_html/whatever.php

I thought /home was = to the include_path but it doesnt seem to work out that way.

OK, I guess I'm a bit confused as to what you are trying to do. Why do you need to worry about what the include location is on your home development box as opposed to the server?

Once you set the ini_path in your php.ini file on either box then you shouldn't need to think about it.
