The Outlook of PHP??

Im doing a reasearch project for school ..and i choose PHP..

I need some information on the outlook of PHP and the future of the language? ...Ive had a hard time finding articles or whatever on this subject so i though maybe i could get some information here.

Will there be lots of jobbs in PHP?
Good Pay?
Will the PHP language keep getting better?
Whats expected in the future of PHP?

This question could be interpreted as a job posting...and we all know how much our dear PHPBuilders hate job postings...I dunno about pay...ask someone who works in the field (oh yeah you did).
Definitely. PHP v. 5.0.0 beta has been released...PHP will keep improving for a long time....just wish the server I my site is hosted on would get an upgrade....
The future is bright. More and more people are turning away from ASP and moving to PHP and Perl. You may ask: "Why Perl?" I cannot deny that it is a powerful language...but this is a PHP forum... and I know barely any Perl...the part that's almost like PHP. Anyway, this has been caused by the movement of smaller corporations and some governments to Linux. We all know that PHP and Linux are friends. In 200 years, we know that PHP will be dead, sadly...to make way for something better...probably

If you want a job prospectus go to sites for it professionals and see how many hobs are available.

PHP has a bright outlook because it is built on the methodologies that are just emerging is industry standards.

1) Depends. It can either be yes. and no but it depends on if any other languages come up, or if php isnt needed anymore etc.

2) I guess it will be.. There is PHP 5 coming out although the beta is out now, im still waiting for the fully tested version

3) Looking as a programmer of the language id probably say it will increase in popularity, more versions and maybe even a top language for enterprise web solutions.
