DB counter

Ok, i have no idea where to start or where to look for a script. What i am looking for is a script that when you click on a certain page like a page with the name $uname it adds a counter to the db

So i can set a artciles viewed or paged viewed.. But seperatly for every article and that writes to a db.

easy, on the page that gets called, place one query that increments a counter for that particular pages id number and your laughing.

You can use a txt file or mysql to set up a counter...I've got a free flash MX script (not html) counter at www.blears.net/counter

if you want to write your own it's not too hard..you just need a txt file with read and writeable chmod permissions and a couple of scripts that increment it..
