sort arrays by only regarding every 2nd or 3rd var?

hi.

i have an array with file-paths in every 1st and their file size in every 2nd var:

file1.exe, 100, file2.html, 12, file3.php, 14 ...

now is there a possibility to sort these vars by only regarding only every 2nd var (for sorting them by file size)??

The data structure you have doesn't fit the data.

1) Use an associative array with the filepath as the key and size as the value, then you can simply call the sort function

2) Use a two dimensional array and use array_multisort
