Need some help ASAP!!!

OK i have a wierd problem..whenever i try opening a .php file..it tries to download the actual file and run it in dreamweaver ( something that has been unistalled a long time ago )....How do i just get it to open in IE??!! HELp..this is urgent!! please help me out here.

Left-click the icon and a menu will pop up. Select Open with... and then choose the program you want to open it with.

I would do that..however..there is no Open With option..all there is is "open"..whitch tries looking for dreamweaver....When i do it manually from File> open in IE..it even tries goig into dreamweaver...I even made some code and put it on the net..still it tries downloading it into dreamweaver...!! HELP!! 😃

heya merve...i just noticed u have a vv.carleton.ca server for that site.. lol I do to...im assuming your from ottawa i guese 😛 .. anyways regarding that server..why is it down? ive been trying to acces my php stuff on it for the past few days =/.

What Web Server do you have running? I'm guessing none, php is a server side scripting language, you can't just open the file and expect the web page to be served to you. Consider installing Apache and configuring it to serve php; it's not difficult.

On my computer..none..yet that has nothing to do with the question..

ON that link i showed.. its spaceports.. whcih as i heard and have read has PHP hosting and support..

The web server has nothing to do with my problem of opening .php files in dreamweaver..
