Date + Number Of Additional Days

I am pulling a date from MySQL database as $date;

For example that would be 2003-05-31

What I want to do is ADD to this date something like TERMS (payment due in 9 days).

I would need something like:
$datelate = $date + 9;
but it adds only onto the year....

These are the results that I would like to see 🙂
$date = 2003-05-31
$datelate = 2003-06-09

look up the date functions

you should get a little more familiar with the PHP manual as the answer is right there, but here is what you need to do:

$date = "2003-05-31"
$datelate = date("Y-m-d" , (strtotime($date) + (60*60*24*9 /* 9 days in seconds */)));
