That is something I've been curious about How much do YOU charge? Whats the avg based on what you KNOW? PHP you tend to charge MORE or LESS?
my quotes are based on $45.00 an hour - which is the same amount my mechanic charges me and he's got comprable experience and learning in his field - really that's how I came up with the rate.
Mechanic? Shouldn't that be comparable "experience"?:p

$65/hr - HTML, JavaScript, CSS, etc... $85/hr - PHP, ASP, Perl, etc...
$50/hr or I quote the whole job...
$85 per hour? Good lord! I am charing too little.
How the #&@ can you find work?? I check crap sites like rentacoder, etc, those are filled with 13 year olds that bid $50. Drives me insane.
