include() error

When i try to call loginform.php which is located in /phplib i get the following error;
Warning: Failed opening 'login_call.php' for inclusion (include_path='') in /home2/www/myowedmoney/phplib/local.php on line 60

I dont get this error when trying to include a .txt file just any type of php files. tried chmoding etc and no luck.

Someone had recommended i add it to the prepend file so i did and loginform.php loaded fine then except every page on the site went to it.

Any help is appreciated thanks.

your php.ini is screwed. can you mess around with that?

No, unfortunately i cant, but if i contacted admin what should i tell him? and is there any work around?

well it SEEMS that your include path is wrong. just for example, mine (and most) look somewhat like this:

.:/usr/local/lib/php

, which means 'First look in the current directory, then look in /usr/local/lib/php' try runnign phpinfo() and look in the 'PHP Core' section and find 'include_path' see what that says.

my include path is .:/usr/local/lib/php, and you say that means look in current directory first, the file that has the include calling loginform.php is in the same dir

ok nevermind got that to work using 2 different prepends, thanks for the help though. got another problem now, trying to use <?=$sess->url in a link and <?=$this->url() ?> for a form action but i get this error, <a href=" Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in /home2/www/myowedmoney/phplib/loginform.php on line 27

are you calling $this from outide the class definition?

well it was supposed to be a ready to go set of scripts that runs the complete site but ran into a bunch of probs..there is no class definition in loginform.php itslef which is the one using $this and $sess..but they were declared in a previous file that calls loginform.php i believe..and i dunno like i said supposed to work from the start so i would assume they would have been declared.

I managed to get it all working after redoing a bunch of it, but thanks for all the help 🙂

Set the php.ini file without havine access to it!
