Hi, i am trying to update the phpmyadmin application on my linux box, is there a site that will explain the process step by step.
phpmyadmin is simply a folder on your server called phpmyadmin, go get the new one, unpackage it and replace the old folder with the new one, keep your old config.inc.php handy so you don't lose the info there, if you don't know it
do i just copy the old config.inc.php in to the new folder of do i have to run a script that installs the new version
no, i mean just keep it, so you can open it up and compare it to the new one
thanks for your help, i have another unrelated question, i want to change the username of my phpbuilder account since this person has quit this co. when i try to create a new account it says account exists for this IP o some thing. since you are moderator i thought may be you would know.

This is what the admin told me:
It's not the IP it's the email address. I can't delete peoples accounts, at the request of others.
So you'll have to get the person that set it up to delete it, then set up your own new account and use a different email address than the original one to set the new account up.
