Pattern matching a full email address

Can someone help me to work out how to pattern match a full email address from a string of text?

Something like this?

"Billy Bloggs <[e-mail]>"

All I would want is the email address ([e-mail]), and not the name or special characters.

If you always know that email is in <> chars.....you can parse the text.

Finding the first occurance of < and take all the string until end of text -2 char (>")

Can you write the code byyourself with this help?

No that was just an example, the email address could be anywhere within a string of text.

Anywhere......the problem became more dificult to solve.....
Well....i have to do a program that eliminates email from a text.....so it's the same thing.

I have made a scheme to made this thing.....have to write code yet:

1)Search for first occurance of @

2)Go behind until you find a space (this is necessary!otherwise you can't parse! if you have a text like this is impossible to recognize email from the other text! TEXT="[e-mail]" where your email is only [e-mail])

3)And make the same to find the finish of the string-email

This is also simple if you know that all @ presents in the text are emails.....if they aren't the problem is more more difficult!
And i have this last one to solve out! :-(
