Automatically login to HTTP authenticated sites

Dear Friends,
I am trying to develope an application which will allow me to automatically login to a number of HTTP authenticated sites.I will be passing the user/pass however please can you help me with a code to write the automated login.

If these are htaccess sites, you can auto-login by passing the username and pass in the URL like http://username:[e-mail]
