Hi all,
I hope you can help me.

I want to create a script that downloads the contents of a web page including any images and store them in a folder, created on the fly using part of the domain name on my server. For example, say I wanted to download www.somesite.com what should happen is this:

directory called somesite created in which the web page resides as well as say, img1.gif, img2.gif, img3.jpg....etc.]]

If so:

Would I need to install other modules?
I'm a newbie therefore would it be better to pay some one to code it?

you can easily use fsock open to grad the web page, however grabbing local coppies of the elemnts within those page is a bit more difficult.

You would have to parse the html then use fsockopen and grab each element within the html.

A better option might be to use wget at teh command line, even call it with a system() or exec() call from PHP.

At least I know it's possible. Way over my head tho. I think it might be better if I pay someone to do it...🙂
