This just occurred to me during a battle I just had with a recalcitrant mouse (due for cleaning), trying to aim it at one of those little checkbox thingies. If I could just get to the label and click that and have it work I'd have a much bigger target. The irritating bit is that it works off the id= attribute of the field in question, not the name= attribute ('cos using the latter would make things problematic for radio groups) - so the form fields would need ids attached.
E.g.,
<input type="checkbox" id="disablesmilies" name="disablesmilies" value="yes" >
<label for="disablesmilies"><b>Disable Smilies in This Post</b></label>
All this of course assumes that it doesn't involve delving into bits of the board you're not supposed to be delving into.
