Decimal Places?

How can I cut off the decimal places on a number?

I want to do a division like

$newnumber = 3/2*100;
echo $newnumber;

but it displays all the decimal places like

6.666666666667

I know the number will be two digits (minus the decimal places) everytime if that helps any.

where the hell did you get 6.666666667 from?!
