PHP GTK Install Help

Hello. I could really use some help with this. I decided to go check out php gtk. I'm running windows xp professional right now, and so i downloaded the windows zip from the site. I unzip the file and then placed everything where it said (either in php file or system32 folder). Here is the problem. I went to test it out so i pulled up the command prompt and entered c:\PHP\test\hello.php it opened the file for editing in gVim. So I figured if I broke php association with vim that would be good, however when i pulled up the file extentions area php was not listed.

Also now when I pull up the browser and run pages that are created (php) on my local server it won't load them. it just keeps thinking and thinking about it, but nothing happends.

RESOLVED. Not quite sure how, i just killed off everything (again) and went from scratch and now its all working...

Update -- ok I got gtk to work, i'm not sure what I did wrong, but I just went and deleted everything i had installed and started back over from scratch and it worked (woo hoo!). However, regular php is still not working any more. I've been going through my ini file and I can't seem to get it to go. Any ideas? the problem is still that the page just keeps trying to load but nothing is happening. (windows xp professional os.) Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

ps. i just let the thing run for a while and go this error to come up:

CGI Timeout
The specified CGI application exceeded the allowed time for processing. The server has deleted the process.
